The artist of this piece was Ted DeGrazia, a much loved artist from Tucson, Arizona. His subjects were mainly Indian children (the only ones who have faces in his work). He died in 1982, but his art work has remained very popular.

My First Horse is a familiar scene to an earlier generation whose first horse was a "hobby horse". This young child travels in the land of imagination on his fiery steed, happy in the knowledge that what looks like an ordinary broomstick is really a powerful, prancing stallion.

This figurine will be a beautiful addition to your DeGrazia collection. It is signed and dated Degrazia/Goebel with the Artist of the World Stamp. My First Horse figurine is in perfect condition and comes in the original packaging. It is Mint and has never been displayed. It is produced by Goebel and made in Germany and is marked DeGrazia on top of the base in back. It is also carries Artist Of World Trademark Sticker.
Mold #10-312-01-5 , #7, 1983 and initialed in 1986 It is approximately 5-1/4" tall. This is a beautiful figurine one that has been very popular with DeGrazia Collectors.
