Navajo Madonna is one of Olaf Wieghorst most famous works of Artwork.

Olaf Wieghorst is often called the "Dean of Western Painters."  He was born in Denmark but emigrated to the U. S. at the age of eighteen, infatuated with the American West. Mr. Wieghorst spent most of his career on horseback as a Cowboy, U. S. Cavalryman, and later mounted Policeman.  He roamed the West during it's transition from open range to the modern world.  His reverence for the Navajo is evident in all of his works of art series, which depicts the story of a Navajo family living in the grandeur of Arizona's Monument Valley.

This plate comes in the original box and also comes with a collector plate stand.
